Castle of Mey, Scotland

Castle of Mey, Scotland
We visited Scotland last year and, amazingly, it never rained for the entire fortnight. Still trying to get over the shock!
We went to the Castle of Mey, which belonged to The Queen Mother. Having seen pictures of it in the press over the years, I had envisaged a rather bleak place but was completely surprised at how cosy and friendly it was! The views across to Orkney were stunning and it had a tremendously happy feel to it - I can see why the Queen Mum loved it so much, though the guides did tell us that Princess Margaret refused to sleep there as she thought it was haunted!
