Our style
If I was asked to describe our style, I honestly wouldn't know how to! We don't apply a label or category to the way we shoot a wedding - we just do it, and we do it because we love it.
Each of the wedding gallery on this site contains ALL images from the weddings so you are seeing the whole collection from that day. I haven't cherry picked the images as I think this may lead to a false impression of what you would receive if you were to choose us to shoot your day.
I think each gallery shows what a good mixture of images are taken. Informal, relaxed images and then some more 'modelled' shots where I will give a little direction to you on how to pose, where I might play with the lighting to accentuate your shape, or bring out your beauty in close up.
We certainly don't take lots of standard group shots as these can often be quite dull and time consuming. We do, however, take images of the new Mr & Mrs with each set of parents and with bridesmaids and ushers etc. If you require a particular group shot, then just let us know in advance so it can be accommodated on the day.
Some of my brides are really keen to have lots of images of themselves 'model' style and I always say that if you want to keep on posing, then I'll just keep on shooting!
Equally, if you find it difficult to relax in front of the camera, I will use a long lens and shoot in a less obtrusive way. I usually find, though, that once we are into the evening everyone relaxes more and chills out a bit, then I can shoot a few more portraits of you both!
I do all of the main photography and my very gorgeous husband does some of the background shots and candids, which he is rather good at, I must admit!
We are very keen that you have an absolute ball on your wedding day and that the photos reflect that.
